AMSR

Employers who wish to nominate workers for subclass 482, 186 and 187 must meet certain salary and employment condition requirements. The remuneration must be above the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT). This threshold is set by the Department of Home Affairs each year and is currently $53,900 plus superannuation (9.5%). Other main requirement is that the proposed salary must be within the market rate for the role.

AMSR means the earnings an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident earns, or would earn, for performing equivalent work on a full-time basis for a year in the same workplace at the same location.

Both the AMSR for the nominated occupation and the guaranteed annual earnings an Employer will pay to the worker must be at least as much as the current TSMIT.
